Forgiveness of Sins
If you realize the truth and have a faith, you should be forgiven
of sins. If you are forgiven
of sins, you can escape from the power of the devils who catch me on condition of sins.
1.
What is Sins
1John3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin
is the transgression of the law.
In human society, sin is a violation of the law, set by the state, and sin between God and man is not to obey the law that God gives to man. Even if it seems to be good for the human, it is sin if it is sinful to see by the Creator God. The standard of sin is in God who has set the law, not in the object of the law, man. Even if adultery or homosexuality seems to be not a sin to human beings, it is a sin for God to see.
There are original sins and self-crimes in sins. The original sin is inherited by Adam and Eve, and has influenced everyone so far, and self-crime is a sin by himself. Because of the original sin, the relationship with God was cut off, everybody
are under the control of satan. So the evil heart that causes sins in my heart came from the body and Satan.
Rom.5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned:
Ps.51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
One Adam sinned with disobedience to God, and all his flesh descendants inherit sin and died. So David said that his body was shapeded in inquity, and his mother conceive him in sin. There are three major meanings of death: the first is the death of the spirit, which is disconnected from the relationship with God, and the second is the death of the body. Third, the spirit, soul and body will be in eternal lake
of fire after the last judgment.
Rom.3:10~12 As it is written, There is
none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there
is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way,
they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth
good, no, not one.
Rom.3:23 For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God;
James4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth
to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin.
No matter how self-confident you are, you are a sinner in front of God. Jesus told me to love God with heart but if I could not keep it, I sinned. It
is also sins that he do not love his neighbors, hate
other with heart, judge him recklessly, and do not forgive him. It is also a sin that not honor your parents, lie
someonne, do not help poor people.
Jer.17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above
all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Matt.15:19~20 For out of the heart proceed
evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false
witness, blasphemie. These are [the things] which defile a man:
but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Rom.1:29~31 Being filled with all unrighteousness,
fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy,
murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters
of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient
to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural
affection, implacable,
I have to admit that there are evil minds, thoughts and feelings in me, and that it eventually leads to evil behavior. We usually envy
freinds, luxury, boasting, humiliating, making money injustice, deceiving others by lying, enjoying obscene thoughts and speech, ignoring people who are economically difficult, slander
each other in factions, and watching competitors go wrong enjoy
it.
Eccles.8:11 Because sentence against
an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of
the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
Prov.10:23 [It is] as sport to a fool
to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
Titus1:15 Unto the pure all things [are]
pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing
pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
1Tim.4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having
their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Mal.3:15 And now we call the proud happy;
yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, [they that]
tempt God are even delivered.
Ps.10:4 The wicked, through the pride of
his countenance, will not seek [after God]: God [is] not in all
his thoughts.
Since the judgment on evil is not carried out quickly, we decide to do evil and enjoy evil
life. At first, I get a conscience remorse, but if I continue to do evil, my conscience becomes dirty and dull, and I will commit evil boldly. The arrogant is happy, the wicked are prevailing, and even those who test God are safe, and
they say that there is no God.
2Pet.3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning
his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to
us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance.
Is.59:1~2 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not
shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot
hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.
Luke5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
But the reason God endures long is that we all want to repent and return to God without annihilation. We cannot meet God because our sins and sins have separated God from humans, not because God's arms are short. Therefore, first, you must realize that you are a sinner and go to Jesus with repentance.
2.
What is the forgiveness of sins?
Lev.17:11 For the life of the flesh [is]
in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make
an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh
an atonement for the soul.
Lev.24:17 And he that killeth any man shall
surely be put to death.
The laws of the body of the Old Testament era were not forgiven when sin was committed, but must be punished
by bleeding. However, these atonements are possible when they commit a ban (such as touching an uncleanly beast or
dead body or doing evil with the lips) of the law, and felony, such as murder, injury or robbery, must be punished correspondingly.
Ex.21:23~25 And if [any] mischief follow,
then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth,
hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound,
stripe for stripe.
Heb.10:1 For the law having a shadow of
good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can
never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually
make the comers thereunto perfect.
If someone hit me and break teeth, I
break the person's teeth, and if someone hurt my eye, i hurt his eye. It seems to be heartless but it is fair
that he suffer the same pain as I have hurt. Both ways are the same in that if you commit a crime, you must be punished somehow. However, the sins of the Old Testament period have the disadvantage that the spirit can not revive because the original sin can not be forgiven.
Deut.16:20 That which is altogether
just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the
land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Neh.9:33 Howbeit thou [art] just
in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we
have done wickedly:
Ps.33:5 He loveth righteousness and
judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Ps.1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not
stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of
the righteous.
In the Old Testament, there are 91 words 'just'(judgment), which means right and fair. God is
just that punishes the injustice and hates to deceive or bribe the other. Since the Old Testament law is a law of the body(death), sin must be punished, and the representative idea of the Old Testament is 'just'(judgment).
John1:17 For the law was given by Moses,
[but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
4,000 years after Adam, the ancestor of mankind, Jesus came as the king of the Jews and the savior of mankind. 4,000 years are the period of relief(to clear the debt) for the original sin. 4 is the number of hardships, the number of reliefs, the Israeli people suffered 400 years in Egypt, and after the exodus
Forty years of wandering for sin, Jesus was tested by the devil for 40 days in the wilderness.
John6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit,
and [they] are life.
Jesus came to end the Old Age and open the new era. Jesus proclaimed the law of life and spirit, not the
law of death and body. The law of life is the truth of God who saves the spirit. The law of the Spirit is quite different from the law of the flesh.
Matt.5:44 But I say unto you, Love your
enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you,
and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
The law hated and revenged the enemy, and the word of life loves, blesses, does good, and prays for enemy. Today Israel and Palestine are stained with terrorism and revenge every time. The conflict will be endless unless they love, forgive, and embrace each other. As such, the Word of Spirit is one dimension above the laws of the flesh.
1John3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that
no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
The word of life seems easier than the law of death, in
fact it is more difficult. In the Old Testament, it was a crime to kill, but in the New Testament, it is murdering that he hates
his brother.. How can i suppress a hateful emotion? I found that the anger is coming from attack
instinct of my body.
Titus3:2 To speak evil of no man, to be
no brawlers, [but] gentle, shewing all meekness unto
all men.
2Tim.2:24~25 And the servant of the Lord
must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach,
patient, In meekness izxxgnstructing those that oppose
themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the
acknowledging of the truth;
But when you listen to the truth and live in grace, the personality that is fierce like a goat becomes as gentle as a sheep. Because there is no infinite and sacrificed love of God in my heart, I hate, slander, and have a grudge. Just as there is no darkness when the light is full, a person who is full of God's love overcomes hate feelings with love, moderation, patience and forgiveness. So how do sins be forgiven in the New Testament?
Matt.4:17 From that time Jesus began to
preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Under the New Testament law of life, anyone who repented to Jesus was not punished and forgiven.
Matt.9:6 But that ye may know that the
Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith
he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto
thine house.
God gave Jesus the power to forgive sins, so I was forgiven sins on condition that Jesus is my salvior. Since the word of the New Testament is the law of the spirit (life), repentance can be forgiven by grace even if sin is committed, and the representative ideology of the New Testament era can be called 'love' (forgiveness).
But there was a problem. The Jews would not believe that jesus is the Messiah. The Jews waited for the second
coming of Messiah, who was honored than suffered in the Old Testament prophecies. The Jews regarded Jesus as a "law destroyer" and a "sacred desecration," and, far from believing, they slandered and threw stones and killed him.
Matt.23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear
righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Matt.21:11 And the multitude said, This
is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
Luke23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying,
Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said,
Thou sayest [it].
John19:15 But they cried out, Away with
[him], away with [him], crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall
I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king
but Caesar.
This is because they did not have a pure and correct faith, and because they were full of greed, pride and hypocrisy, they could not recognize Jesus who came humbly as Messiah. Relatively humble and pure publicans, whores, sinners, the
sick, and fishermen followed Jesus as the prophet. Jesus came to be king of the Jews, who did not recognize Jesus as king and were more loyal to the Roman emperor.
Matt.26:28 For this is my blood of the
new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Heb.9:12 Neither by the blood of goats
and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
At the Last Supper, Jesus said that Jesus' blood, symbolized by wine, is the blood of a new covenant for the remission of sins. Jesus himself is a flawless lamb and has been punished for our sins. In the Old Testament, he sacrificed penance as the blood of the beast, but Jesus once entered the heavenly sanctuary as the High Priest by giving spiritual penance to his own blood and achieved eternal redemption for us.
Heb.2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved
him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful
and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to
make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Heb.4:15 For we have not an high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities;
but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
Heb.6:20 Whither the forerunner is for
us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever
after the order of Melchisedec.
Heb.9:7 But into the second [went] the
high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which
he offered for himself, and [for] the errors of the people:
Heb.7:27 Who needeth not daily,
as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for
his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did
once, when he offered up himself.
Jesus came as a man not only as an innocent atonement but also as a high priest to offer a penance, and he entered the most
holy place as the eternal High priest of heaven following the line of Melgisedek(the High priest of heaven), not the line of aron(the High priest of Israel). The Old Testament
high priest went into
the most holy place for the fault of himself and his people with
blood once a year, but The New Testament
Jesus as high priest
achieved a complete atonement for mankind who gave him only once.
Eph.1:7 In whom we have redemption through
his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his
grace;
Titus2:14 Who gave himself for us, that
he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a
peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Jesus not only took curses and punishments on behalf of our sins (substitution), but also paid for our sins (redemption) in order to save us from the power of sin and Satan. Jesus' cross blood has an amazing ability to clean up all sins and win the power of Satan. We must believe that Jesus¡¯ blood wash away all my sins whiter than snow.
3. How can i be
forgiven of sins?
You should be forgiven
of sins. There are cases that you try to be forgiven by confessing or doing good, but you can only be forgiven by repentance and Jesus' cross blood. So how can i be
forgiven of sins?
Heb.9:12 Neither by the blood of goats
and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy
place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
Col.1:14 In whom we have redemption through
his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:
Jesus gave an eternally effective atonement for the human race at
the cross to his blood. I
must trust the fact that
All my sins are washed clean with the blood that Jesus spilled on the cross
without doubt.
Luke17:12~14 And as he entered into a certain
village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar
off: And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master,
have mercy on us. And when he saw [them], he said unto them, Go
shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as
they went, they were cleansed.
Ten lepers come to Jesus in the village and ask for mercy on themselves. Jesus told them
that go to the priests and
show your body. According to the law, the leper had to be confirmed by the priest when the leper was cured. Ten lepers probably wondered.
The lepers probably
said, "leper is not healed yet, but show the priest?" "If
we went to this state, we
might be punished deceiving
God" But they went to the priest with a strong faith. Then, on the way to the priest, the leper was all cured and got clean.
Even we believe, with Jesus¡¯ cross blood, all my sins were washed whiter than snow, but I still feel dirty. But first, if you go to Jesus, the High Priest of the New Testament, 100% sure that you will find that you
changed to a clean figure.
The
forgiveness of sins is the amazing ability and grace of God, it
leads from the death control of Satan, to
the life control of Jesus. It is just
like Moses surrendered the pharaoh by 10 disasters when he escaped the Israelites from Egypt.
Just as the Israelites could not escape
from slavery under the power of Pharaoh by their own ability, we could not escape from
sinner under the power of Satan
by our own abillity. We should not only understand 'forgiven
of sins' ideologically, but we should actually experience the ability of the cross blood.
1John3:8 He that committeth sin is of the
devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose
the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of
the devil.
The devil gave sins and curse to mankind, and the more sinful he is, the more he is trapped under the power of the devil. When I heard about the murder;s,story started with hate at first, but it was amplified and he became angry and committed a terrible murder without knowing it. In fact, some murderers confessed, "I think there is a demon in my body!"
Jesus came to destroy this devil's work. If we do not forgiven our
sins, we can not escape from the vicious cycle of sin and being subjected to the devil forever. Due
to forgiven of sins we
can escaped from the power of the devil, restored the relationship with God, and my spirit revived.
4.
Forgiven for my past sins, not for future sins.
However, there are people who do not have to repent even if they are sinned again after receiving forgiven
of sins. When we are forgiven, all my future sins being forgiven,
repent is not needed any more. So after being forgiven, he
assured salvation, and he lives
sinful life in this world. But there is no verse in the Bible that
future sins are forgiven. It is contradictory to claim that you have been forgiven for sins that you have not yet committed. (The result without cause)
Joel2:12~13
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all
your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD
your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and
of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Rev.2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and
do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will
remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Repentance is to sincerely regret of your mistakes, to turn from sin, to reveal before God and ask for forgiveness. In the Revelation, Jesus tells saved
saints of Ephesus and Fugamo
church to repent. Even
though a Christian was forgiven
of sins when he is saved, it is natural to repent
after.
Acts3:26
Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to
bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Repentance is to leave evil and aim for good, and to turn from self-centered life to God-centered life. The purpose of our salvation is to be born again after forgiveness
of sins.
